Facing Challenges, Maintaining Composure, Strengthening Confidence, Taking Responsibility

In order to fully implement the spirit of the 2024 semi-annual work meeting of China National Biotec Group Company Limited, promote the realization of the company's strategic goals in an orderly manner, summarize the work completed in the first half of the year,  arrange and deploy key tasks in the second half of the year, Beijing Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. (BIBP) held the 2024 semi-annual work meeting and action plan review meeting on August 9 to comprehensively review and summarize the key tasks in the first half of the year, analyze and judge the current situation and challenges faced by the company, various project-teams, and various systems, further clarify the goals, build consensus, and clarify the work ideas for the second half of the year. Nearly 80 members of the company's leadership team, middle-level managers, middle-level assistants of various departments, and project leaders attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Lin Guang, Secretary of the Party Committee of BIBP.

Zhang Yuntao, Chief Scientist of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd, Vice President of CNBG, and General Manager of BIBP, delivered a working speech; Zhang Xuemei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Deputy General Manager, delivered a first-half management report entitled "Seeking progress while maintaining stability, setting off again, Innovation, quality and production for the future"; Li Xinguo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, conveyed the work spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Seminar for Leaders of Central Enterprises; Jing Yumei, Financial Director, delivered a first-half financial situation analysis report; and Yang Ming, Deputy General Manager, conveyed the spirit of the 2024 Semi-annual Work Conference of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd and the 2024 Semi-annual Work Conference of China National Biotec Group Company Limited.

Zhang Yuntao, Chief Scientist of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd, Vice President of CNBG, and General Manager of BIBP, expressed his heartfelt thanks to all cadres and employees on behalf of the company's leadership team. He pointed out that in the first half of the year, faced with the complex and ever-changing development situation and challenging business environment, all departments of the company worked together efficiently and made every effort to focus on production, quality, seek innovation, promote development, improve quality and work efficiency. Significant results have also been achieved in compliance operations, management improvement and other aspects. These achievements result from the hard work and struggle of BIBP's cadres and employees.

Regarding the development direction of BIBP in the second half of the year, Zhang Yuntao put forward the following requirements and hopes: First, it is necessary to maintain strategic focus and make it clear that technological innovation is the only way for BIBP; second, continue to promote the improvement of the quality system to ensure product quality; third, focus on key products and continuously improve the production system; fourth, adhere to compliance management, continuously improve the compliance management system, and implement the rectification of inspections; fifth, improve the position, strengthen communication between departments, and form a working synergy; sixth, accelerate talent training and maintain corporate competitiveness and innovation.

At the meeting, the "battleships" of scientific research, production, and quality and the "systems" of efficiency improvement, empowerment, and risk control reported separately (to ensure the achievement of the company's annual key goals, the company set up six combat teams, namely "three teams of battleships" and "three teams of systems"), reviewed the completion of the strategic goal plan in the first half of the year, focused on sorting out unfinished matters, analyzed and identified the reasons, and proposed improvement methods and measures. The on-site participants put forward opinions and suggestions on the next work step. The company's leaders and the assistant general manager scored and evaluated the completion of the work plan for each battleship and each system in the first half of the year.

Secretary of the Party Committee Lin Guang affirmed the contributions and unremitting efforts made by all cadres and employees in the first half of 2024, and commented on the reports of each warship and system. He emphasized that all cadres and employees should continue to uphold the spirit of efficient and collaborative teamwork, deepen the close cooperation of cross-departmental and cross-field links, and gather the wisdom and strength of all cadres and employees, brainstorm, strengthen determination, jointly face challenges and solve problems, ensure the steady progress and smooth implementation of scientific research projects, inject strong momentum into the development of the company, and lay the foundation for achieving our common goals.
