In order to improve the comprehensive quality and business ability of middle and basic managers, during November 6-12, 2023, CNBG Beijing Institute of Biological Products (BIBP) organized two periods of training called "Leapfrog Plan", in which 110 managers have participated. The training was delivered by Mr. Lin Guang, Secretary of the Party Committee, and hosted by Ms. Bai Meili, General Manager Assistant and Manager of department of HR.


Mr. Lin Guang pointed out that BIBP was facing new challenges and opportunities in the downturn of the industry in the past year, and hoped that the trainees, as the backbone of the company's first-line professional field, would keep an empty mentality, devote themselves to the training, think seriously, and gain more things in the training progress, so as to provide a constant impetus for the company's development in the future, and to work hand-in-hand with the all the staff to lay a more solid foundation for the next take-off of development.


The first day of the training focused on "Thinking Clearly", which was designed to allow managers to learn and think comprehensively about their new roles, positions and approaches. The instructor firstly provided systematic theoretical input, analyzed the roles played by managers and how they can influence the whole team and the company's operation by exercising different responsibilities. Then the instructor led the participants to do a simulation exercise of role change in accordance with the practical management situation. Afterwards, the trainees were led to experience the basic process of management: formulating goals and plans, monitoring and improving the process, analyzing and solving problems, so as to consolidate the theoretical foundation for the trainees and strengthen their management ability.


In the evening, under the guidance of the instructor, the participants actively exchanged their own management problems and tried to analyzed and summarized so as to solve them by incorporating what they have learned during the day. Each group in turn threw out the real problems encountered in management practice, and everyone spoke freely and put themselves into the role to propose solutions. The active discussion, thinking and output refreshed the management knowledge of the participants.



On the second day of the training, based on the methodology course conducted on the first day, they conducted more difficult practical case studies to teach the trainees more management tools and skills, so as to made them put what they’ve learned into practice and finally achieve the purpose: "think clearly" and "manage clearly". The trainees actively participated and transformed what they had learned into practice, showing the results of the first day's learning. The training course also included the content of employee performance coaching and motivation, and carried out scenario simulation, which strengthened the participants' understanding of performance management system, especially the importance of performance coaching and performance feedback. They also further mastered how to manage and motivate employees through performance.



        This training is closely related to the company's actual situation, focusing on three major aspects:the trainees' cognition of managers’ roles; management methods and staff development and motivation. Through the preliminary research and interviews with the trainees, we pinpointed the difficulties and pain points the middle and junior managers have met in the management process. Using a combination of practice and training methods, employees can actively participate in the real case and combined with their own experience and what they’ve learned in the course, so that they can master more efficient and practical management methods and skills. Participants demonstrated a high level of engagement in the process and participated enthusiastically in the case activities, and actively interact with the instructor to express their views and make suggestions, showing a strong enthusiasm for learning.


In this training, the company has brought a well-prepared surprise: celebration of 30 years of joining the company for the employees with more than 30 years of service. Looking at the commemorative cake, we recalled the days we worked together and the sincere friendship between colleagues. The small cake carried the recognition and awards for past efforts, and also carried the expectations and blessings future the work life in the future. All the participants shared the love, joy and warmth, gave thanks for the time they spent together and looking forward to a better future.


Excellent managers not only need to have professional and business ability, but also need to have the ability to manage and guide the team. Through this training, the middle and basic managers got new thinking about the connotation of management, and started to update their management perceptions more quickly, so as to consolidate the backbone of the company, to lay a solid foundation for the long-term development and to make preparations for the take-off of the company.
